Officially Official

the-real-team-starkid:

Hello friends,

You might be as surprised as I am to learn that Team StarKid has officially started an official tumblr, and that this is our first official post.  We’ve avoided it thus far because of rumors told to us by fans and friends.  Rumors of unsavory shipping, bizarre role-play (Nick Lang’s Legs), and fanfics that would chill us to the bone.

But I figure that there’s no better time than when working on Twisted to take a walk on the dark side.  So let this be a place of discovery and delight!  Come here for any and all official Twisted updates, exclusive content, and answers to all your StarKid needs.  And maybe it’ll just be a place for us to have some fun too!  Now someone tell me how to pronounce GIF, and help me make one!

Looking forward to endless reblogs and much trolling,

Sincerely,

Brian Holden and all of Team StarKid

P.S. And speaking of that dark side—we’re following the #twisted musical tag.

Behind the scenes of MAMD

jocelynstarkid72:

Reminder that Nick and Matt drew the Harry Potter and Spiderman statues for AVPSY and made the puppets and brought together almost every Starkid ever to Chicago to do a show that didn’t have to happen a show that they could not get a profit from and they also wrote the script and Matt directed and they worked so damn hard on all the behind the scenes stuff and Nick stood in front of 4000 people at Leaky to talk to us about not filming etc and his hair was all sweaty and he had bags under his eyes and this is just an appreciation post for Nick and Matt Lang for being the fucking heart and soul of the Starkid franchise I just love them so much they are both my little spirit animals and they shoot sparkles not from their fingers but from their minds straight into the hearts of millions of fans all over the world.

"We had so much fun backstage and then that darn Darren had to look straight in the audience to say goodbye as Harry – you thought there were tears in the audience? You should have seen backstage – we were all up against the curtain looking up at the two big screens. Literally not a dry eye in the cast. The camaraderie amongst the fans – complete strangers crying on each other’s shoulders… Their love was like a warm blanket."
